Route description

Camping Tiveden is located between Swedish largest lakes the Vänern and the Vättern, between Göteborg and Stockholm near the ancient forest area of Tiveden on the shore of lake Unden.

From the north, west and east.

On the  E20  between Göteborg and Stockholm are the towns of Mariestad and Örebro. Drive west from Örebro, or east from Mariestad, until you reach the town of Finnerödja. (Finnerödja is usually available in your navigation device)

At Finnerödja, leave the  E20  heading south towards Sannerud. It may be useful if you reset your trip meter, as exactly 17km (11 miles) down this very road you will find the entrance to our camping at your right hand side.

Please note that on this road there is also signage to a lake resort called Tivedsbadet. This is not our campsite!

So follow road signs toward Sannerud. Sannerud is one of the villages in the Tiveden area. You will come across the Camping Tiveden entrance on the right-hand side on this road. If you come across the sign "Lanthandel", or see a white church on the right, you have driven about 3km (2 miles) too far.

From the south.

Coming from the south, for example from Malmö, then you will find on the  E4  the big roundabout at Jönköping (keep left on the  E4  when getting close to Jönköping).

From there follow the  195  road toward Hjo and after Hjo the  195  and  49  toward Karlsborg. (Karlsborg is usually available in your navigation device)

After Karlsborg you can follow the  49  a little further into Granvik or instead follow the  202  into Undenäs. With a motorhome or caravan we advise to take the route via Undenäs as the roads will be slightly larger.

At Granvik exit left or at Undenäs exit right to follow the signs toward Sannerud. Sannerud is one of the villages in the Tiveden area. When you pass the village Sannerud, shown by a small white church on your left, our camping is about 3.5km (2 miles) further north on your left hand side.
